Anderson is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Thomas is staying active. Thomas throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Thomas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Thomas drops an elbow to the side of Anderson's head. Anderson blocking the ground and pound attempt from Thomas. Thomas not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.

Vazzappo throws a series of punches but Thomas moves out of range. Thomas misses with a looping left. Thomas thows a left - swing and a miss! Vazzappo checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Thomas avoids a punch combination nicely.
Thomas misses with a hook. Good standup being displayed there by Thomas as he connects with a hook. Thomas finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Vazzappo has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Thomas finds it's way round the side to connect with Vazzappo's head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Thomas thows a left - swing and a miss! Vazzappo throws a big counter combination but Thomas scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Thomas misses the jab. Vazzappo is looking to counter punch. A lazy left from Thomas finds it's target. Thomas moves out of range as Vazzappo strikes. Vazzappo drops his hands momentarily and Thomas takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Thomas tries a quick counter leg kick but Vazzappo is wise to it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A swing and a miss from Thomas. Thomas misses with a straight left. Mason Thomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Thomas scores with the left hand. I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
