#R1# Corti fails to land with a series of punches.
Alacantara is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Corti misses the shot to the body. Corti tries to close the distance and clinch up but Alacantara swats him away and circles back towards the center. Corti with a poor takedown and Alacantara counters with an outside leg kick.
Corti fails with the takedown. Alacantara throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Corti stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Alacantara looks to land a combination but Corti avoids it well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Alacantara scores with a nice right hand.
Corti tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Alacantara paws at him with a jab and circles away. Alacantara scores with a nice body kick.
Alacantara slaps away a takedown attempt from Corti, before circling back to the center of the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Corti. That's going to take a lot out of him.#T1# Alacantara throws a left and a right that both miss
and Corti counters with a stiff right hand. Corti shoots in looking for a takedown but Alacantara manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Corti's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Alacantara blocks the body kick.
Alacantara lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Alacantara throws the left hand but Corti avoids the punch easily. Aric Alacantara is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Corti tries a head kick but it misses.
Alacantara is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Corti. Corti doesn't manage to clinch there - Alacantara circles away.
Despite the aggression on Alacantara's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Alacantara dodges the punch combination from Corti.
Corti shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Alacantara as he jumps to the side. #T2##CL# Corti has Alacantara up against the ropes in a clinch.
#BC# Corti breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Alacantara throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Corti's head. Alacantara uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.#ROC2# Corti is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Corti tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Corti tries to clinch but Alacantara moves away and Alacantara connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Oh Corti is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Alacantara on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Corti shoots for a takedown but Alacantara saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Alacantara clobbers Corti with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Corti takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Corti shoots in for a double leg but Alacantara sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.#T3# Alacantara smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Corti tries to clinch but Alacantara moves out of range. Corti wants to clinch and Alacantara counters with a left to the body. Alacantara drops Corti with a naaaaasty hook - Corti is in real trouble here! Alacantara dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. You lands a nice short elbow. You trying to control the action but Corti is working from the bottom. He's managed it - he's now in full mount! You lands a big shot there that rocks Corti but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Corti taking shots to the head. #ROC# Corti is rocked! You loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Corti scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from You land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. You stands and salutes the crowd.

Corti engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Erol wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# Erol throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

#T1# Corti pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Erol is keeping the position for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Corti postures up.

Corti tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Erol defends well and Corti ends up having to push Erol into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Erol wants to counter with a clinch but Corti pushes him away. Erol throws a right hand that Corti ducks under and follows up with a left that Corti also avoids with ease. Corti is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Erol unleashes a big counter combination but Corti bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Corti shoots for a double leg takedown but Erol sprawls well. He's pushed Corti's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Frank Corti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Corti finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Erol drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Corti defends it well. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! No luck for Erol with that takedown attempt. Corti tries to counter by clinching up but Erol breaks away and moves out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
