Scramp slowing the pace effectively. Fitzgerald tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Fitzgerald avoids a wild elbow strike from Scramp. Scramp tries to break free but Fitzgerald pushes him back against the cage.#TD2# Scramp gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Scramp is trying to control. Fitzgerald wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Fitzgerald is trying to get back to full guard. Scramp trying to mount his opponent but Fitzgerald defends it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Scramp is keen to just control but Fitzgerald is a slippery customer. Scramp missing with the ground and pound from half guard. #T1# Fitzgerald avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Scramp. Fitzgerald really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Paul lands on the inside with an uppercut. Paul lands an elbow that stopped Fitzgerald in his tracks for a moment. #CUT2# It looks like Nestor Fitzgerald has been cut. Paul pushes off an throws an elbow but Fitzgerald leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Paul creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Fitzgerald's defenses. #ROC2# Fitzgerald is rocked! Paul gets through Fitzgerald's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Oh Fitzgerald is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Paul pulls back and lands a big elbow that stuns Fitzgerald! Paul unloads with more strikes and Fitzgerald sinks to his knees! This one is all over!

#R1##TD2# Jones gets the takedown into side control. Jones tries to move to mount but Fitzgerald blocks the move with his legs. Fitzgerald sneaks back into half guard. Jones seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Fitzgerald does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. #SUB2# Jones is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Fitzgerald sees it coming and defends easily. Fitzgerald is in trouble now - Jones has advanced to mount! Fitzgerald takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Jones wants to control the pace but Fitzgerald is squirming around nicely. Fitzgerald is looking to improve his position but Jones isn't that keen on the idea. Jones with shots to the head and body - Fitzgerald looks very uncomfortable down there. #ROC2# Fitzgerald is rocked!#T1# Fitzgerald is trying to escape the mount but Jones keeps good control and instead manages to take Fitzgerald's back.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Fitzgerald is striking but Jones is not phased and passes to half guard. Fitzgerald wants to improve his position but Jones is controlling well.

Fight lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. #TD2# Fight ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Fight no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Fitzgerald really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Fitzgerald cracks Fight with a solid left hand. Fitzgerald is in close to Fight's body, working some short punches and elbows.#SUB2# Fight throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Fight looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Fitzgerald puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fitzgerald seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Fitzgerald looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Fight with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. #T1# Fight wants to control but Fitzgerald is keeping busy.

Oh Fitzgerald is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!#SUB2# Fitzgerald throws up some feeble strikes from the bottom. Fight smiles and locks on to an arm, pivoting beautifully as he drops to the side for an armbar. Fitzgerald tries momentarily to escape but he knows he's done and taps furiously to avoid injury. Confident submission skills displayed there by Fight.

#R1##TD2# Fitzgerald gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Fitzgerald being controlled here, momentarily. Rat trying to control the position from guard on top but Fitzgerald is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. #SUB# Fitzgerald has his foot on Rat's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rat works his way back into a safe position though. Fitzgerald looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Rat working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Fitzgerald's head. Rat is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Rat preventing the sweep. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Fitzgerald had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rat defends it easily. Rat landing with the ground and pound. #T1# Rat content to stall in guard here. Rat landing some decent shots from guard. Fitzgerald wants to sweep but no luck. Rat is working Fitzgerald over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. #ROC2# Fitzgerald is rocked! Rat gets to his feet and stands over Fitzgerald, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Fitzgerald felt that one! Rat unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Fitzgerald from any more punishment!
