Quinn tries to close the distance and clinch but Lamas swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Quinn moves away from the strike by Lamas. It seemed like Quinn was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Quinn fails to land with a series of punches.
Lamas throws a right and a left that both miss. Lamas misses with a jab, cross combination.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Quinn has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Quinn lands a body shot.

Badass thuds his right hand into Lamas's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Badass tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Lamas is able to avoid easily. Lamas tries to clinch but Badass moves out of range. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Badass scores with a jab. and Badass counters with a big head kick but Lamas shrugs it off. Badass swats away the attempt to clinch by Lamas. Lamas rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Badass moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Lamas closes the distance looking to clinch and Badass cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Lamas throws a lazy right hand but Badass sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Badass looks like he wants to counter punch here. Badass scores with a kick to the body.

He's pushed Maeda's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Lamas stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lamas wants it to stay on the feet.#CL2# Lamas clinches up with Maeda and pushes him back against the cage.#BC2# Lamas's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Maeda moves out of range as Lamas strikes. Lamas bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Maeda's head backwards. Lamas tries a head kick but it misses.

Wobble fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lamas looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Lamas throws a series of punches but Wobble moves out of range.
