#R1##TD# Howler drives through with a takedown into Murhapuro's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Murhapuro utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Howler postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Howler wants to control from the top but Murhapuro keeps moving. Howler distracts Murhapuro with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Howler cracks Murhapuro with a solid left hand.#SUB2# Murhapuro escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Howler gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. #SUB2# Murhapuro has his foot on Howler's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Howler works his way back into a safe position though.#SUB2# Murhapuro has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Howler can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Howler pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. #R1# Howler fails with the takedown. Spanner scores with a leg kick.
Howler tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Spanner paws at him with a jab and circles away. We've been hearing reports that Howler has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Howler will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Howler takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Howler tries to clinch but Spanner is having none of it. Nice takedown defense from Spanner. No joy for Howler on that attempt. And Spanner responds with a good body kick, but Howler manages to step out the way in time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rexx Howler. That's going to take a lot out of him. Howler tries for a takedown but Spanner circles away easily and Howler takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Spanner has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Howler with a lazy takedown attempt and Spanner cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Howler shoots for a takedown but Spanner saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Spanner appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Nice uppercut there from Spanner. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Spanner.

#T4# Spanner tries to move to mount but Howler blocks the move with his legs. This has been an exciting period of action! Howler is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. The strikes coming from Spanner are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Howler tries to get back to half guard but can't. Howler manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Howler is looking to improve his position.

Howler doesn't manage to clinch there - Spanner circles away.

Spanner sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Spanner is positioning himself well to prevent Howler advancing to mount. Howler thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Farts looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Farts misses with a straight left. Howler shoots in but doesn't get the takedown letting Farts counter with a right hand. #CUT2# It looks like Rexx Howler has been cut. Howler has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Howler there as he acknowledges the shot. Howler has his takedown stuffed and Howler takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Howler fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rexx Howler. That's going to take a lot out of him. Howler has his takedown stuffed and Farts counters with a lovely straight right hand! Farts throws a hook to the side of Howler's head but Howler sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Howler to score with a decent uppercut.#CUT# It looks like Fray Tormenta has been cut. Howler connects with a body shot that sends Tormenta's belly button to the back. Howler avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Viktor Barkov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Howler closes the distance and clinches up with Barkov, looking for a takedown. Howler pushes Barkov against the cage but Barkov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Barkov lands a nice hook to Howler's body.
