Coming up we have a bantamweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Anil Diktas (ranked 5522 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maui Waui (ranked 24634 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the bantamweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Anil Diktas! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Maui Waui! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and William Peck.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Diktas looks for a takedown but Waui sprawls well. Waui looks to clinch and Diktas counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Waui! Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Diktas (4) vs (0) Waui Diktas will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Diktas wants to control but Waui is keeping him busy. Diktas thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Diktas goes for an armbar! Diktas looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Waui has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Waui pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Diktas is desperately trying to improve his position but Waui has a good base and remains in mount. Diktas is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Waui has taken his back.

Petrov goes for a takedown attempt but Diktas pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Viktor Petrov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Diktas throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Petrov's waist but Petrov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Diktas off to one side. Petrov is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.#TD# Diktas shoots in and gets a takedown into Petrov's guard. Diktas controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Diktas trying to control the position from guard on top but Petrov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Diktas controls from within his opponent's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diktas trying to control but Petrov is working from the bottom. #T1# Diktas is really struggling to control Petrov but he's trying to hold on to the position. Diktas forces his way into half guard. Petrov wants to control the action here but instead Diktas manages to pass to full mount! #SUB# Diktas with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

#R1# Diktas with a lazy takedown attempt and Nakamura counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Nakamura throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Diktas stumbling backwards into the cage! Diktas bounces back off the cage towards Nakamura, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Nakamura lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Nakamura celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Shinji Nakamura! Shinji Nakamura is the new featherweight champion!

Diktas feints the counter takedown. A head kick misses from Burns. Burns throws a right and a left that Diktas avoids nicely. Diktas drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Burns defends it well. Diktas avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Diktas shoots in but Burns avoids the takedown attempt easily. Burns wants to clinch up but Diktas keeps it at a distance. Burns looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.#CL# Burns moves into the clinch. Burns with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Burns is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Burns misses with a body punch.

Burns is fighting the takedown attempt but Diktas gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Keep your fist closed son.#T2# The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Burns works over Diktas's head and body with a nice combination. Burns clobbers Diktas with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. A low kick from Burns misses #TD2# and Diktas counters with a takedown into side control. #SUB2# Diktas tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. #SUB2# Burns is wriggling around trying to escape but Diktas has hooked up a rear naked choke! Is it over??? Is it... you're damn right it is! Burns taps out and Diktas picks up the big win! Great work there by Diktas!

#R1##CL2# Hjung rushes Diktas and presses him up against the cage. Hjung with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Hjung doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Hjung lands a nice elbow. A nice glancing elbow lands by Hjung. Hjung will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Diktas up against the cage. Hjung tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Diktas avoids it. Hjung misses with a body punch.
Diktas takes an elbow to the temple. Hjung stalling the fight.
Hjung lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Diktas or not. A short right hand to the side of the head by Hjung. Diktas blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Hjung slows down the pace here.
Hjung has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Diktas seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Hjung can turn it around. Diktas looking for a takedown. #T1# Hjung slowing the pace effectively. Hjung tries to throw a body punch but Diktas avoids it by throwing Hjung back against the cage. Hjung lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Nice body punch from Hjung - that landed with a thud.
Diktas has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hjung is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Hjung throws a knee to the head but misses.

He pushes Diktas back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Hjung throws a beautiful elbow that sends Diktas crashing to the floor! Hjung piles on the pressure with more strikes! Diktas is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Man Soo Hjung! An out of breath Man Soo Hjung thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.

#R1# Diktas shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Barkley sprawls well. Barkley wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Diktas gets slowly back to his feet. No joy there for Barkley, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Diktas shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Barkley counters with a straight right hand. A combination from Barkley does no damage. Nice takedown defense from Barkley. No joy for Diktas on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anil Diktas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Diktas takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.#ROC2# Diktas is rocked! Barkley lands with a big right hook that stumbles Diktas - he's out on his feet here! Barkley follows up with another monster hook that separates Diktas from consciousness! Diktas falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Barkley stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.

Horrible takedown attempt by Jenkins or perhaps it was just good defense by Diktas, which made it look bad. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. #R1# TeppenGym fails with the takedown.#TD2# Diktas closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. TeppenGym scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Diktas manages to mount him!
#SUB2# Diktas is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but TeppenGym is surviving well by controlling Diktas's body position as best he can. #SUB2# Diktas is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. TeppenGym is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. TeppenGym flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Diktas anticipates the leg and manages to get behind TeppenGym and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Diktas slips an arm under TeppenGym chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Diktas has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Diktas is squeezing on TeppenGym like an anaconda would it's prey. TeppenGym fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
