#R1# Astro lands a nice leg kick that just misses Harris's sensitive parts. Harris misses the jab. No joy there for Astro, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A nice side step and Harris releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Astro works Harris's body with a nice hook. The fighters circle momentarily. Astro darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Harris tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Astro scores with the left hand. Harris knows he should have avoided that one. #CUT# It looks like Marcus Harris has been cut. Astro fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Harris looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Astro stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Astro goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nice shot by Astro.#KD# Astro lands a left and a right that send Harris crashing to the mat, dazed. Astro thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!#ROC# Harris is rocked! Astro cracks Harris with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Harris tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Astro pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Harris is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Charlie Astro! Charlie Astro is the new lightweight champion! Charlie Astro decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

#R1# Cage fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Harris avoids it really well and circles away. Harris throws a counter combo. Cage will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Harris throws a series of punches but Cage avoids them all with ease. Connar Cage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cage dives in for a single leg takedown but Harris sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Connar Cage. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cage tries for a takedown but Harris sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cage misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Harris now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Cage moves in looking to clinch but Harris pushes him off. Cage misses with a takedown attempt - Harris sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Harris can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Durnagoz is trying to control the position but Harris postures up. Harris slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SU2# Harris stands up from Durnagoz's guard - Harris perhaps looking for a knockout. #T1# Harris will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. #R1# Marowadoigowiegow throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Harris drops his hands momentarily and Marowadoigowiegow takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Marowadoigowiegow looks to land a left hand but Harris moved out of range nicely. Harris doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Marowadoigowiegow throws a looping overhand right but Harris ducks down to avoid it. A nice side step and Harris releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Marowadoigowiegow fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Harris manages to avoid it. Marowadoigowiegow lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Coming up we have a middleweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Marcus Harris (ranked 8182 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joonas Olli (ranked 6552 p4p, 101 weight class). Joonas Olli told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the middleweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Marcus Harris! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Joonas Olli! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Olli rushes Harris and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Olli jumps guard and drags Harris to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Harris has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Olli to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Harris is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Olli pulls down on the head and he's put Harris to sleep! This one is all over!
