#R1# Hughes fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Woodward shoots in for a takedown but Hughes shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Woodward takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Nice defenses there by Woodward. Woodward appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Woodward fails with the takedown and Hughes counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Woodward on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
#ROC2# Woodward is rocked! Hughes circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Woodward tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Hughes wins by KO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Chris Hughes! Chris Hughes was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.

#R1# Cohen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hughes circles away quickly and effectively. Hughes keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Hughes throws a right and a left that Cohen avoids nicely. Cohen was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Hughes throws a jab when Cohen was well out of range. A little feinted left hand from Cohen on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Hughes jabs at Cohen's body. Hughes misses with a right hand and Cohen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters circling - Hughes throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Chris Hughes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hughes throws a hook but Cohen blocks it. Cohen throws a big counter combination but Hughes scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.#CL# The fight moves into the clinch position.#T1# A bit of stalling here from Hughes.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Hughes. Cohen is trying to drag Hughes to the mat but Hughes just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Hughes slowing the pace effectively.#BC2# Hughes pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Cohen moves forwards but Hughes connects with a nice, crisp jab.#CUT2# It looks like Miles Cohen has been cut.#T2# Cohen slips a jab from Hughes. Hughes connects with a right hand. Cohen shakes it off.#ROC2# Cohen is rocked! Hughes swinging wildly here.

and Hughes counters with a straight right hand. Oh Cohen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Hughes finds Cohen's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Cohen flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Hughes lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Cohen will be OK.

After the fight, Chris Hughes was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
