#R1# Titor connects with the punch. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Calypso has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Calypso stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Titor. Calypso changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Titor tries to avoid it but Calypso manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Titor to the ground. Titor escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Titor throws a right and a left that both miss. Calypso with the counter takedown but Titor avoids it easily. We've been told by Titor's head coaches at Team Beta Fail that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Titor fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Calypso with a poor takedown and Titor connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Titor fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Calypso looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Titor cracks Calypso with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Calypso falls to his knees and Titor doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Titor! John Titor looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'Titor bangs on about being a time traveller and coming back to save humanity, but, no one cares.'.

#R1##TD2# Calypso looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Tonga wants to get back to his feet. Calypso is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. We've been hearing good reports from Tonga's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Well, if Calypso is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Calypso passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Tonga! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tonga sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Calypso is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! #T1# Calypso scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Tonga?
Tonga is in all sorts of trouble here.
Tonga tries to hold on but Calypso pushes him away. Calypso throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Calypso with a couple of short strikes. Calypso landing strikes from the mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. You get the feeling that Tonga really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Tonga is in a horrible position here. Calypso smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

The referee warns Tonga that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Calypso prevents Tonga from getting the reversal. Tonga is squirming around, avoiding Calypso's attempts to control the action. #ES# Tonga somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet! Tonga stuffs the takedown.#TD2# Calypso gets a double leg takedown into Tonga's guard.#ES# Tonga has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Calypso off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Calypso doesn't succeed with the takedown and Tonga counters with a nice uppercut. Tonga tries to close the distance and clinch but Calypso swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Tonga is looking to clinch. #T3# Tonga closes the distance but Calypso moves to the side #TD2# and Calypso counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Calypso is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Tonga is working to get back to half guard.
Tonga regains half guard. Calypso thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Calypso not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Tonga tries to kick Calypso off but Calypso keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Calypso passes to side control. Calypso lands a few punches from side control.#T4# Tonga tries to bench press Calypso off him but Calypso keeps the position. Tonga is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Calypso asserts his dominance and retains side control. Tonga tries to get back to half guard but can't. Calypso looks up at the clock and then as Tonga takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Calypso smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
#SUB2# Calypso has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Tonga is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Calypso yanks on the arm and Tonga is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Calypso.

#R1##TD2# Calypso fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Malina to the ground. Calypso is now in Malina's guard. Malina knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Calypso on the ground.#SUB# Malina working for submissions but it's allowed Calypso to get to half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Calypso in particular looking to stall. Calypso throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Malina tries to kick Calypso off but Calypso keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. #SUB2# Calypso is trying to work for a kimura but Malina is defending well.

Calypso avoids the attempt from Malina to control.#SUB2# Calypso goes for an armbar but Malina turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Malina. Malina tries to free his leg and advance position but Calypso is retaining full guard. Calypso manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Malina manages to get himself to full guard.

Calypso working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Calypso passes Malina's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Calypso content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. #SUB2# Calypso maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Malina could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Calypso has cracked it and Malina is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Calypso!
