#R1##TD2# Masala looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Bak! Masala postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Masala creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Masala cracks Bak with a big right hand but Bak just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Bak's coaches at JAG Battle Gym have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. Masala working the ground and pound but Bak is defending the strikes. Masala cracks Bak with a big elbow. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bak has one of Masala's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage. Masala is chipping away with strikes.

Good killer instinct there!

#R1# Day fails miserably with a takedown attempt. We've been told by Bak's head coaches at JAG Battle Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Day.#TD2# Day shoots in for a takedown and gets it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Day scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Day not landing any meaningful shots this time. Bak wants to control but Day is keeping busy.
Day working over Bak with some ground and pound. Bak looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.#T1# Day landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Day wants to take a breather but Bak is having none of it. Bak taking some punishment here, with Day in his half guard. A looping hook to the body misses from Bak. Cooper does a little dance to reset his feet. Cooper wants to clinch up but Bak keeps it at a distance. Bak is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Bak takes a swing at Cooper's ribcage but misses. Cooper tries to clinch up but Bak circles away and keeps his distance.#CL# Cooper gets in close and instigates a clinch. Cooper misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Masala circles away from the clinch attempt#TD2# and Masala counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Masala thows a huge punch but Bak dodges it nicely.

Masala seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bak does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bak wants to improve his position but Masala is controlling well.

Potter manages to get himself to full guard.

#R1# Carney chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Bak can pounce on him.
Carney could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.#CL2# Bak darts in and clinches Carney up against the cage. Carney has had enough of the clinch but Bak keeps him there for the moment.#TD2# Bak wants the takedown. Carney is fighting it off but Bak persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Carney's guard against the cage.#SUB2# Bak has gone for a leg lock! Carney slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bak's guard.#REVR# The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carney slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. #SU# Carney gets to his feet - Bak follows without any prompting. Bak wants to clinch up but Carney keeps it at a distance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bak fails in his attempt to clinch. As Bak looks to move away, Carney throws a big counter combo but Bak just gets out of the way.
