Johnson misses with a combination
and Of Hand counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Of Hand has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Gangsterdamage in the buildup to the fight. Johnson misses with a shot to the body and Of Hand cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Of Hand sizes up Johnson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. #CUT# It looks like Joey Johnson has been cut. Good leg kick by Of Hand there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A looping hook to the body misses from Of Hand. Johnson does a little dance to reset his feet. Of Hand misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Of Hand tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. #BC# Of Hand's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Of Hand connects with a leg kick. Johnson looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Johnson throws a right and a left that Of Hand avoids nicely. Of Hand appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Of Hand stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Of Hand throws a nice outside leg kick. Johnson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

Of Hand lets Johnson back up to his feet, looking for a finish!#ROC# Johnson is rocked!#T2# This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Of Hand has cracked Johnson with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Of Hand lands another huge swinging hook and Johnson tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Johnson, before Of Hand can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Sleight Of Hand! Sleight Of Hand tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.

#R1# Nice cross by Johnson.#TD# Johnson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Ortega is not content to let Johnson control the position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ortega can do anything to dispel that myth. Johnson throwing shots but missing, from side control. Johnson moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Ortega tries to bench press Johnson off him but Johnson keeps the position. Johnson throws a leg kick and Gaucho finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Gaucho closes the distance looking to clinch and Johnson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Johnson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gaucho moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Johnson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Gaucho closes the distance but Johnson moves to the side and Johnson counters with a three punch combo that has Gaucho backing up. Gaucho nods at Johnson to acknowledge the strikes.#ROC# Gaucho is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
