Madsen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kurmagomedov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Madsen somewhat. Madsen's coach down at Rabid Dog was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Madsen's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.#TD2# Madsen closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Madsen winds up and cracks Kurmagomedov with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Kurmagomedov is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Burns. Burns swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A leg kick checked by Kurmagomedov. Kurmagomedov bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Burns's head. Kurmagomedov uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Burns. It looked like Kurmagomedov wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Some wild striking there from Burns.
