#R1# A head kick by Shevchenko misses #TD# and Oneill counters with a takedown into side control. Shevchenko wants to get back to his feet but Oneill is dominant here and he's now got Shevchenko's back! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Shevchenko tries to roll but Oneill sticks to his back.
Oneill is not going to allow Shevchenko to sit and survive in this position. #SUB# Oneill looking to break Shevchenko's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Shevchenko remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Oneill will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Oneill is riding his opponent, not letting Shevchenko buck him off. #SUB# Oneill has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Shevchenko! Can he survive? No! He's out! Oneill gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Fidel Oneill!
