Deux uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Balzli.
Balzli throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Balzli looks to score with a jab to the body but Deux is just out of range.
Numero Deux seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Balzli misses the shot to the body.
Deux appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

Deux feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Balzli sprawling to the canvas! Balzli rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Deux finish him?!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Horrible takedown attempt by Balzli or perhaps it was just good defense by Deux, which made it look bad.

Deux dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Balzli stiff and motionless on the mat!

Balzli throws a body punch but Levu moves out of range.
Levu looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Thomas Balzli seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Balzli throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Levu pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Balzli back to the cage. Levu follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Balzli misses the body punch
and Levu counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Balzli throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Levu sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A head kick misses from Levu.
Levu moves away from the strike by Balzli.
Balzli throws a looping overhand right but Levu ducks down to avoid it.
Levu throws a big counter head kick but Balzli avoids it with no problem.
Balzli throws the left hand but Levu avoids the punch easily.
Despite the aggression on Levu's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

and Levu cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and Levu counters with a monster head kick that knocks Balzli out cold! He topples like fallen a tree, crashing to the mat! Timbeeeeeerrr!

Deux lands a lovely overhand right.
Deux connects with a jab.
Deux cracks Balzli with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Balzli tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Deux pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Balzli is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Balzli is standing up over Gelina. Gelina looks to escape but Balzli dives into side control. #REVR#
Gelina takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Balzli controls the position.
Gelina wants to control but Balzli postures up.
Balzli takes a little break here. Gelina wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Gelina is trying to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gelina is looking to get back to his feet here but Balzli is keeping cool and he's managed to take Gelina's back.
Gelina is covering up but some of the strikes from Balzli are getting through and doing damage. #T1#

Balzli feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Valiquette shoots in but Balzli avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Valiquette.
