Mendez lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Mendez fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Suff on the side of the head. Suff darts in looking for a takedown but Mendez gets double underhooks and turns Suff into the cage. Mendez connects with the punch. Mendez keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for William Suff. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mendez comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Mendez lands a nice hook to Suff's body. Suff takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Mendez lands a two punch combo.
#CUT2# It looks like William Suff has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mendez moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Mendez throws a one two combo.

Suff tries to recover but Mendez is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Suff lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Mendez scores with a one two! Marrano had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Marrano tries to clinch but Mendez moves out of range. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Mendez!

Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mendez walks away with a smile on his face. Marrano gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Marrano fails with an attempt to clinch.
Mendez tries to bum rush Marrano with a series of wild strikes but Marrano uses good footwork to avoid the assault. This has been an exciting period of action! Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Mendez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Marrano. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#SUB# Marrano is looking for a triangle but Mendez pushes his legs off easily.
#SUB# Marrano working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mendez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mendez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!#SUB# Marrano has his foot on Mendez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mendez works his way back into a safe position though.#SUB# Mendez has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Marrano to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Mendez is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Marrano pulls down on the head and he's put Mendez to sleep! This one is all over!

Victor Mendez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stone shoots in but Mendez avoids the takedown attempt easily. Stone shoots for a takedown but Mendez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ezekiel Stone. That was a close round but I would say that Ezekiel Stone will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Trudeau lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Trudeau celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
