#R1# Baker moves out of range as Shaw strikes. Shaw looks to land a body kick but Baker moved away. Baker shoots in for a takedown but Shaw shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Shaw looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Shaw has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Baker is landing a low percentage of strikes. Shaw throws a half hearted mid kick. Baker fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Shaw stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Shaw wants it to stay on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dennis Baker. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shaw throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
#CUT2# It looks like Dennis Baker has been cut. Shaw pivots, looking for a leg kick but Baker is out of range and Shaw settles back down. Baker is looking for a counter combo. Shaw is looking to stand up but Baker won't let him. Shaw really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Baker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Shaw trying to control but Baker is working from the bottom. #SUB# Shaw wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Baker's closed guard. He's half up but Baker has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Baker pivots and extends the arm, Shaw falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Baker! Well done that man!

#R1# Shaw throws a sloppy head kick and Ark moves out of range easily. A head kick by Shaw misses and Ark counters with a left and a right that stings Shaw. Ark takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Ark looks to land a body kick but Shaw moved away. Shaw lands a nice shot that snaps Ark's head back.
Shaw lands with a kick to the ribs.
Ark throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Shaw seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Shaw lands a head kick. Ark smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Shaw throws a series of punches but Ark avoids them all with ease. Despite the aggression on Ark's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Shaw gets off balance looking for a body kick#CL2# and Ark counters by clinching up. This has been an exciting period of action! Shaw is trying to force a seperation but Ark has the dominant position. Ark lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Shaw backwards. #BC2# Ark breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Shaw throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Shaw with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
#CL2# Ark clinches up with Shaw and pushes him back against the cage. Ark prevents Shaw from breaking the clinch. Ark lands a big right hand that drops Shaw! The killer instinct kicks in and Ark finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Ark!

Hubbard went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Hubbard really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shaw throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hubbard. Hubbard moves away from the strike by Shaw. No joy there for Hubbard, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

#R1# The fighters circling - Shaw throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Taylor takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Shaw tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Shaw scoring well with a low kick there.
