Acevedo has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Racing missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Racing wants to stand but Acevedo has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Acevedo could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Acevedo preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#T1# Racing postures up.

Racing is fighting to break Acevedo's control of his arms but Acevedo is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Acevedo is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Racing can do to turn this around? Racing engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. King Racing has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. King Racing seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#TD2# Racing gets a double leg takedown into Acevedo's guard. Kory Acevedo is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Racing wants to get back to striking at distance but Smith won't allow it.
Smith lands a shot to the body. Smith has Racing pushed against the cage. Smith scores with a hook to the body.#BC# Racing breaks the clinch.
Racing takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Smith throws a series of punches but Racing moves out of range. Smith lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Racing at a distance.
Smith looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Racing shoots and misses and Smith counters with a two punch combo. Smith scores with a jab. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Racing gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.#CUT2# It looks like King Racing has been cut. Racing walks into a left hand. #ROC2# Racing is rocked! Smith drops Racing with a straight right hand, right on the button! Smith follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Racing is staying tight to Maldonado's torso, preventing him from escaping. Oh Maldonado is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Maldonado is looking to regain half guard here but Racing keeps moving and retains side control. Maldonado seems to have got his legs back now. Racing in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Racing slows the pace down. Maldonado is trying to control Racing's posture but Racing avoids it. Maldonado is trying to get back to half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Racing controlling the position. Maldonado really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Maldonado takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

#R1# Racing shoots in looking for a takedown. Popper tries to sprawl out of it but Racing keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Popper manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Popper tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. #CL# Racing fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Popper, pushing him back against the cage.#BC2# Popper escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Popper scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Popper pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Popper goes for a high kick. It partially lands.#CUT2# It looks like King Racing has been cut. Racing doesn't manage to clinch there - Popper circles away.
Popper appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Racing shoots in but Popper avoids the takedown attempt easily. Popper dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Racing. That did some damage!#T1# Nice takedown defense from Popper. No joy for Racing on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for King Racing. That's going to take a lot out of him. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Racing crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Popper - the referee stops the clock and Racing gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Popper. Racing manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Racing is breathing heavily. Racing shoots in and drives through. Popper sprawls well. A head kick misses from Popper. Racing goes for a double leg but Popper avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Popper continues to drive forward. Popper scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Popper throws a nice inside leg kick. Racing fails with the takedown and as Racing loses concentration momentarily, Popper counters with a picture perfect head kick! Racing goes down, out cold! The referee rushed in to check on his condition - I'm sure he'll be ok but that was a massive knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Bung Popper! Bung Popper really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Urban Fighter logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.

He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVR##SU# Dejesus stands up from half guard. #TD2# Dejesus gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.#ES# Dejesus kicks Racing off and gets to his feet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.#TD2# Dejesus gets caught napping as Racing dives in and scores a takedown. Dejesus manages to retain guard.#ROC2# Dejesus is rocked! Dejesus keeping full guard, as Racing tries to pass. Oh Dejesus is still in real trouble! Racing trying to control from half guard but Puckett is working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
