Fujita has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Forte throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fujita's waist but Fujita gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Forte off to one side. Forte changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fujita tries to avoid it but Forte manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fujita to the ground. Fujita escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Devin Forte. That's going to take a lot out of him. Forte on the wrong end of a nice hook. Fujita smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Forte is defended easily by Fujita. Forte has been working on his balance at Cozad The Island, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Fujita.
