#R1# Hollaway closes the distance and clinches up with Smith, looking for a takedown. Hollaway pushes Smith against the cage but Smith circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Smith looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hollaway is fending him off so far but Smith persists. Nope, Hollaway circles away and we're back to standing. Hollaway plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Hollaway is looking to clinch but Smith is avoiding it.
#TD# Smith changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hollaway looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Smith in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hollaway can do anything to dispel that myth. Hollaway can't do much from the bottom here. Smith is chipping away with strikes.

#R1# Smith shoots in looking for a takedown. Roosevelt tries to sprawl out of it but Smith keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Roosevelt manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Roosevelt changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Smith fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Smith defending well as Roosevelt loads up on a big left hand. Smith moves out of range as Roosevelt strikes. Smith throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Roosevelt 's waist but Roosevelt gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Smith off to one side. Franklin Roosevelt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Smith. Roosevelt throws a looping overhand right but Smith ducks down to avoid it. Smith changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Roosevelt tries to avoid it but Smith manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Roosevelt to the ground. Roosevelt escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Smith fails with the takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Smith dives in for a single leg takedown but Roosevelt sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Roosevelt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Smith tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Roosevelt swivels and escapes.#T1# A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Smith. Roosevelt feinted with a counter takedown.#TD# Roosevelt scores with a takedown into Smith's guard. Roosevelt works a leg free and moves into half guard. Roosevelt not doing much here.

#R1##TD2# Smith drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.#ES# Jack pushes Smith off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Jack changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smith tries to avoid it but Jack manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smith to the ground. Smith escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Smith with the counter takedown but Jack avoids it easily.#TD2# Smith closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jack did well to prevent Smith getting side control.#ES# Jack pushes Smith off and gets back to his feet. This has been an exciting period of action! Smith slips a jab and a cross from Jack.

Smith shoots and misses and Vargas counters with a series of strikes. Smith will be more careful next time no doubt. Alejandro Vargas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Smith. Smith doesn't succeed with the takedown and Vargas counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Smith is lucky that one didn't land flush. Bogg has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Smith is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Smith is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Bogg.

Smith gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Vargas counters with a low kick, right behind Smith 's knee. Smith misses with a takedown and Vargas counters with a lovely shot to the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him.#TD# Smith feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. What a brutal finish!

Smith slips a nice elbow through Awolo Akintola's hands, connecting with Awolo Akintola's forehead.#ROC2# Awolo Akintola is rocked! The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Smith lands a nice short elbow. Oh Awolo Akintola is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
