Case's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Sawyer before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tom Sawyer! After the fight, Tom Sawyer was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Case could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Case throws a low kick but Smith moves out of range easily. Case stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Case wants it to stay on the feet. Case tries to clinch up.#CL# Case instigates a clinch. A nice glancing elbow lands by Smith. #CUT2# It looks like Sebastian Case has been cut.#BC# Case breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Smith fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Case attempts a counter takedown but Smith avoids it well and moves away. Sebastian Case has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Don Smith. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Smith wants to clinch up but Case keeps it at a distance. It appears Case was looking to counter with a kick there.#CL# Case fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Smith, pushing him back against the cage. Case wants to get back to striking at distance but Smith won't allow it.

Kharrigan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Case pinned against the cage. Case gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kharrigan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Case swats him away and circles back towards the center. Case leaves Kharrigan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. No luck for Kharrigan with that takedown attempt. Sebastian Case has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matthew Kharrigan. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kharrigan feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Cases jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Kharrigan pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Case is looking to counter with head kicks. Case wants to clinch.#T1# Kharrigan closes the distance and clinches up with Case, looking for a takedown.
