Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Yllatys fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pacheco avoids it really well and circles away. Yllatys gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pacheco to score an easy takedown into full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pacheco stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Yllatys swivels though and keeps the full guard. Yllatys should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Pacheco passes into half guard. Yllatys wants to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pacheco keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Pacheco is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Yllatys is just riding it out for now. Pacheco eventually gives up the hold. Yllatys is looking to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Pacheco's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Pacheco looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Yllatys wants to improve his position but Pacheco is controlling well.
Pacheco controlling the action here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pacheco is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Yllatys sees it coming and defends easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pacheco is working for a kimura but Yllatys is defending it quite comfortably.
Pacheco is thwarting Yllatys's attempts to control the position. Pacheco takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Pacheco seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Yllatys for as long as he can get away with. Pacheco has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Yllatys defend it? Pacheco steps over the head and cranks it - Yllatys is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Pacheco!
