#R1# Matthews throws a jab when Nagato was well out of range.#TD2# Nagato bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Nagato is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Matthews will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.#SU2# Nagato stands up and beckons Matthews to his feet. Matthews throws a right hand that Nagato ducks under and follows up with a left that Nagato also avoids with ease. Nagato will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Matthews stuffs the takedown. Matthews fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nagato manages to avoid it. And Nagato tries to counter it with a takedown but Matthews pushes his down on his head and steps out. Nice takedown defense from Matthews. No joy for Nagato on that attempt. Alexander Matthews has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Uzumaki Nagato. Nagato scoring well with a low kick there.

Matthews keeps control of Nagato as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Matthews tries to break the clinch but Nagato is controlling the position. Nagato fails to pull guard.
Nagato has Matthews pressed against the cage, preventing Matthews from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Matthews is trying to break free. Nagato has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Matthews avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Matthews gets to his feet and stands over Nagato, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Nagato felt that one! Matthews unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Nagato from any more punishment!
