Vaughn tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Vaughn misses the shot to the body. Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Vaughn swats him away and circles back towards the center. #TD# Vaughn shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Silva is trying to defend but Vaughn finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nice strikes from Vaughn there. Silva is trying to stand up here but Vaughn is controlling him well. Silva has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB2# Kimo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Vaughn knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Vaughn tries to buck Kimo off but Kimo is having none of it. Kimo advances to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kimo avoids the attempt from Vaughn to control. Kimo controlling the pace for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vaughn is squirming around, avoiding Kimo's attempts to control the action. and Venum counters with a left to the body. Vaughn finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Vaughn is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jones pulls him back up using the underhooks. #BC2# Jones escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Vaughn swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Vaughn looks to score with a jab to the body but Alvis is just out of range. Alvis lands with a thumping leg kick.
Vaughn on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.#TD2# Alvis bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Vaughn tries to improve position but can't. Vaughn is working hard here to advance position. Alvis creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Vaughn is working Court over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Vaughn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Court lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.#REVB# Vaughn really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves.
