"I don't think so" says Der Ley as he avoids it easily. #CL# Der Ley gets a clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Der Ley can't find room to land a body shot as Jitsu controls the action.
Jitsu prevents a body shot from Der Ley. Der Ley misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Der Ley lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Van Der Ley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jew Jitsu.#TD# Der Ley turns his back and goes for a hip toss. Jitsu distracts Sitsopirang with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Jitsu slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jitsu looking to pass the guard. Jitsu forces his way into half guard.#SUB2# Jitsu maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Sitsopirang could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Jitsu has cracked it and Sitsopirang is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Jitsu!

#R1##TD# Jitsu closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lee quickly recovers to half guard. Lee looks winded! Jitsu tries to pass the half guard into mount. Lee knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Jitsu passes the guard and advances to mount! #SUB# Jitsu is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Lee has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Jitsu moves to back control. #SUB# Jitsu is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Lee has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!#SUB# Lee is trying to defend against the choke here but Jitsu has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Jitsu Tightens the hold and Lee taps out furiously! Jitsu displays superior BJJ to win the fight.

#R1# Jitsu tries for a takedown but Whelter sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. And Whelter tries to counter it with a takedown but Jitsu pushes his down on his head and steps out.#CL2# The fight moves into the clinch position.#TD2# Whelter manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Jitsu trying to control the position from guard on top but Whelter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Whelter is trying to keep Jitsu in close.

Jitsu passes Whelter's left leg - he's now in half guard. Whelter trying to hold on to Jitsu's head to control him but Jitsu postures up.
#T2# My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Jitsu passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Whelter! The ref rips Jitsu off and cradles Whelter's limp body as Jitsu celebrates with his corner.

#R1# Jitsu gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily enabling Santaban to counter with a crisp jab. #KD# Santaban cracks Jitsu with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Santaban has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Jitsu to stand back up!#ROC# Jitsu is rocked! Jitsu is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Santaban just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Jitsu has gone limp and this one is over!

#R1# Jitsu fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Alomar tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jitsu was well out of range. Poor timing from Alomar. Jitsu takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Alomar punishes Jitsu's body with a nice straight punch. Jitsu takes a shot right to the bread basket. Alomar lands a jab to the head.
Alomar drops Jitsu with a naaaaasty hook - Jitsu is in real trouble here! Alomar dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Robert Alomar! A less than humble Robert Alomar misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.

#R1# We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Jitsu misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Vargas unleashes a big counter combination but Jitsu bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Vargas stuffs the takedown. Vargas throws a big counter head kick but Jitsu avoids it with no problem. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jew Jitsu. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jitsu fails with the takedown and Vargas counters with a straight punch to the midsection.#T1##TD# Jitsu closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Vargas to the mat! Vargas manages to get full guard. Jitsu missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Jitsu sitting in guard here, content to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vargas wants to stand but Jitsu is controlling the position. Jitsu advances to half guard. Vargas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jitsu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Vargas wants to get back to his feet.
