A looping hook to the body misses from Purple. Barron does a little dance to reset his feet.
Barron could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Barron sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sanford has taken the fight to the clinch.

Sanford jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Purple walks away with a smile on his face. Sanford gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Sanford steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Purple. That one must have hurt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Purple wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Sanford's closed guard. He's half up but Sanford has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Sanford pivots and extends the arm, Purple falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Sanford! Well done that man!
