Gomi has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Chatoyer is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Gomi yanks on the arm and Chatoyer is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Gomi.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Takanori Gomi!
During a confident post fight interview, Takanori Gomi thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
