#R1##TD# Shelton darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Roselli has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Temp Spar Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Roselli is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Shelton scores with a couple of nice shots. Roselli is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Ground and pound from Shelton. Shelton scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Roselli is looking for a sweep. Shelton is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Shelton lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. The fighters are battling for position here. Roselli manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Shelton works over Roselli with some ground and pound from guard. Shelton is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Shelton won't allow Roselli to sweep him here. Shelton postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Roselli thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Horrible takedown attempt by Roselli or perhaps it was just good defense by Shelton, which made it look bad. Roselli tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Shelton swivels and escapes. Shelton jabbing away but nothing is landing. Roselli looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Shelton drops down looking for a counter takedown but Roselli sprawls and moves away. Kobi Shelton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Roselli . Shelton misses with a hook. Roselli ducked under it nicely. Roselli fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Shelton avoids it really well and circles away. Roselli moves out of range of the strikes.#TD# Shelton manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Roselli on his heels. He'll look to pass Roselli 's guard now, I'm sure. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shelton sitting in guard here, content to control. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Roselli is trying to get back to half guard.
