Shmakov definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Vladmir Shmakov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fortuin tries to clinch up but Shmakov circles away and keeps his distance.

Shmakov lands with a kick to the temple. Fortuin shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Fortuin throws out a head kick that Shmakov doesn't see coming - it connects and sends Shmakov crashing to the mat face first! He's bounced up to his knees and is scrambling to get back to his feet and beat the count. He's up on 5 but still looks a bit groggy; will the referee allow it to continue??? He's taking a good look into Shmakov's eyes and has decided to let it go on!
Oh Shmakov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fortuin cracks Shmakov with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Shmakov is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Shmakov is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9,10! He's out! Shmakov could not beat the count!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Flip Fortuin!
Flip Fortuin decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

Deeds misses with a short punch on the inside.

Deeds lands a head kick that bluckles Shmakov and drops him to the canvas. He's still conscious but it looks like it's going to take him the full 10 seconds to get back his senses! He's up on 9 and seems to be just about OK to continue.... the referee agrees and we're back to the action with Deeds no doubt looking to push for a finish!

Deeds connects with a beautiful left hand that drops Shmakov onto his butt! Shmakov bounces straight back up though - he's OK. After the ref checks him out, we're back to the action.

Dirty Deeds took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.

Lemar throws a push kick but Shmakov slaps the foot to one side.
A head kick from Lemar lands but Shmakov takes it in his stride.

Shmakov clips Lemar with a right and a left that makes him do the chicken dance for a couple of seconds. He touched his left hand down on the canvas so the referee steps between the fighters to give Lemar a standing 8 count before we can continue the bout.#ROC2#

Lemar drops his hands momentarily and Shmakov needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Lemar just on the top of the head. Lemar drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Lemar - he's done!
