#TD# Vandam throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Abilio was covering up waiting for the punch and Vandam finishes the takedown easily into guard. Abilio tries to land a sweep but no joy. Vandam slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Vandam taking a breather here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Abilio is looking to regain half guard here but Vandam keeps moving and retains side control. #T1# Vandam just content to control the position. Vandam thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. A lull in the action here as Vandam stalls from top position. Vandam seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Abilio for as long as he can get away with. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! Vandam controlling the position easily from mount. This is a sustained period of stalling by Vandam. Abilio really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
#T4# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Vandam takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Abilio tries to lock up and control but Vandam gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Vandam wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it. Abilio is working to get back to half guard.

Abilio tries to get to full guard but Vandam has control of the leg. Abilio is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Abilio is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Vandam jumps into side control! Vandam in side control, just content to control the action for now. #T1# Abilio gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Vandam is taking a breather. Abilio says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.#T2# A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Abilio tries to roll over but Vandam keeps him under control. Billy Vandam overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Vandam wants to free his trapped foot but Abilio is holding on for dear life with his legs. #SUB# Vandam is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Abilio is just riding it out for now. Vandam eventually gives up the hold. Vandam with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Vandam continues to stall.#T3# Abilio trying to get back to full guard but Vandam takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Abilio is desperately trying to improve his position but Vandam has a good base and remains in mount. Vandam tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Abilio keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Abilio tries to reverse the position but Vandam maintains control. Vandam avoids the attempt from Abilio to control. Vandam is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Abilio can do to turn this around? Vandam content just to control the position here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. And that's the end of the fight! Billy Vandam showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Vandam, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
