#R1##TD# Naikkorine bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The referee asks Naikkorine politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Naikkorine prefers to stall for the moment though. Naikkorine's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Johnson can do anything to dispel that myth. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.#T1##REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Naikkorine has a takedown stuffed. Johnson throws a low kick, looking for Naikkorine's leg but Naikkorine calmly moves out of range. Naikkorine shoots in but Johnson avoids the takedown attempt easily. Naikkorine misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Finko Naikkorine. That's going to take a lot out of him. Johnson misses with a body shot.
Naikkorine throwing a counter right hand but Johnson manages to avoid it.#T2# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Naikkorine looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Johnson misses with a kick to the body.
Naikkorine is looking to counter punch. Naikkorine avoids the body shot from Johnson.
#CL2# Johnson darts in and clinches Naikkorine up against the cage. Johnson tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Naikkorine's elbow. Naikkorine swings away with an uppercut that misses.
#TD2# Johnson has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Naikkorine regains guard immediately. #SUB# Naikkorine is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Johnson rolls with it to try and escape but Naikkorine cranks on the arm and Johnson is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Finko Naikkorine!
