#R1# Wilder tries to clinch but fails miserably and Sloan makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Wilder displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sloan. #TD2# Sloan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Wilder is trying to control Sloan's posture but Sloan avoids it. Wilder is looking to reverse the position. Wilder is not content to let Sloan control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wilder manages to work his way to half guard, despite Sloan's best efforts. Wilder flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#T1# Sloan content to control rather than advance. #SU2# Sloan gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Wilder tries to close the distance and clinch but Sloan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Wilder misses with a head kick.
Wilder misses with a body kick. Wilder throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Wilder swings away with a leg kick that misses. Sloan leaves Wilder with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.#T2# Wilder fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Wilder is trying to drag Sloan to the mat but Sloan just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Wilder prevents a takedown attempt there.

He's got his arms around Wilder 's waist but Wilder gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sloan off to one side. Wilder fails to land the takedown. Wilder shoots in but no luck this time. Wilder shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sloan defends it nicely. Wilder misses with a looping left.#TD2# Sloan gets the takedown into side control. #T4# Sloan misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Sloan working the ground and pound but Wilder is defending the strikes. #SU2# Sloan stands up. Sloan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.#CL2# Sloan moves into the clinch successfully.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wilder tries for a takedown but Sloan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wilder dives in for a single leg takedown but Sloan sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Wilder is looking to clinch but Sloan is avoiding it.

#SUB2# Sloan drops back looking for a leg! Wilder is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wilder manages to kick Sloan off! Sloan jumps back into Wilder 's guard. Sloan stopping the sweep attempt from Wilder . The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Sloan not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. #REF3# The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.#CL2# Sloan moves into the clinch successfully.

Sloan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Wilder walks away with a smile on his face. Sloan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Wilder shoots in and drives through. Sloan sprawls well. Wilder shoots and misses #CL2# and Sloan counters by moving into the clinch. Wilder has Sloan pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Sloan manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.#TD# Wilder gets control of Sloan's arms and successfully pulls guard. Wilder will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Sloan controls from within his opponent's guard. Wilder wants to control the position but Sloan says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Victor Sloan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Victor Sloan's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round! #R3# Sloan stuffs the takedown. Wilder lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sloan circles away quickly and effectively. Wilder shoots in for a takedown but Sloan shows good takedown defense. Deontay Wilder is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Sloan shoots in but no luck this time. Sloan bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Wilder 's head backwards. The fight stays on the outside here - Wilder looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Wilder tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sloan swats him away and circles back towards the center. It seemed like Sloan was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Sloan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Sloan looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sloan! #REVB# Sloan sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Wilder is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
#T2# A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Sloan controls the position. Sloan's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The strikes coming from Sloan are missing the target in this wave of attacks. You can see the frustration on Wilder 's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Sloan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wilder . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Sloan throws an elbow but Wilder slips to the side and avoids it well.#T3# Sloan looks up at the clock and then as Wilder takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Sloan smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
#SU2# Sloan decides to stand back up. Sloan has been the more effective fighter overall so far.#CL2# Sloan darts in and clinches Wilder up against the cage. A battle for position here, against the cage. Sloan slows down the pace here.

Deontay Wilder has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Victor Sloan is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. And that's the end of the fight! Victor Sloan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Sloan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
