Let's see if Johnson can do anything to dispel that myth. Wasa is figuring out what he wants to do next. Wasa works his foot free and advances to mount. Wasa sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. #SUB# Wasa is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Johnson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kazimierz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kazimierz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. #SUB2# Johnson has an active guard here but Kazimierz has managed to pass into half guard.

Johnson is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.#T1# We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Duterte wants to stand but Johnson is controlling the position. #REF3# The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Duterte comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Duterte lands with a nice body punch. No luck for Johnson with that takedown attempt. Duterte lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Duterte. Duterte connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Johnson momentarily.

Donk. Shin Bum catches Johnson right on the button with a cross. Johnson gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Johnson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Shin Bum counters with a lovely straight right hand! Johnson shoots and misses and Shin Bum counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Shin Bum lands with a shot to the body. Johnson takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Johnson tries for a takedown but Shin Bum circles away easily letting Shin Bum counter with a right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jrayden Johnson.
