Quperson throws a right and a left that Gordon avoids nicely.
Gordon closes the distance and clinches up with Quperson, looking for a takedown. Gordon pushes Quperson against the cage but Quperson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Robert Quperson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#CL#
Gordon drives through and clinches with Quperson against the cage.
The referee calls for Quperson to work.

Quperson has Gordon pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Quperson pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Gordon tumbling to the mat - Quperson dives into Gordon's guard.
Quperson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gordon throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Quperson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Gordon has a closed guard, preventing Quperson from standing up.
Gordon can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Quperson controls the pace.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Gordon is trying to control the position but Quperson postures up.

Quperson tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Gordon.
Quperson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Quperson uses his free foot to push down on Gordon's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Gordon.

Quperson jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Gordon manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Quperson works to advance to full mount. Gordon defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Quperson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Gordon can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Quperson has hold of Gordon's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Gordon manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Gordon is trying to stand.

Quperson is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Gordon is in real trouble.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Quperson has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Gordon! Can he survive? No! He's out! Quperson gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
