#R1# Reynolds misses with a takedown and Smith counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. #CUT2# It looks like Harold Reynolds has been cut. Reynolds jabs at Smith's body. Reynolds shoots in looking for a takedown but Smith manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Reynolds's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Smith ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Smith steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Reynolds. Smith ducks under a wild hook from Reynolds. We've been told by Reynolds's head coaches at Official UFC Performance Institute Training Center that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.#KD2# Smith lands a big right hand that sends Reynolds crashing to the mat! Smith stays standing though and waves Reynolds back to his feet!#ROC2# Reynolds is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A head kick misses from Reynolds. Oh Reynolds is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Reynolds swings widly with a right hand
#KD2# and Smith counters with a nice right hand that sends Reynolds toppling to the canvas! Reynolds scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Smith finish him?! Reynolds doesn't succeed with the takedown and Smith rattles Reynolds with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Reynolds tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Smith dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Reynolds stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Bryant Smith! After winning the bout, Bryant Smith thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

#R1# The fight stays on the outside here - Hammer looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Reynolds swats away the attempt to clinch by Hammer. Hammer should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.#TD# Reynolds throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hammer was covering up waiting for the punch and Reynolds finishes the takedown easily into guard. Reynolds lands a couple of digs. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Reynolds working some strikes from top position. Hammer is wriggling around but Reynolds manages to pass to half guard.
Hammer felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Reynolds will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Reynolds looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hammer with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Reynolds working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. #SUB# Reynolds wants to work for an arm triangle but Hammer is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Reynolds drops an elbow to the side of Hammer's head. Reynolds scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Reynolds passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Hammer! Reynolds working the ground and pound effectively.
Reynolds scoring with strikes but Hammer is staying in there. Reynolds in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hammer wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
#T2# Reynolds unloading with bombs! Reynolds controlling the position easily from mount. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hammer is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Reynolds lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
BOOM! Reynolds connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Reynolds tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. #T3# Reynolds trying to control but he's not successful this time. Hammer trying desperately to get to his feet.
#SUB# Reynolds is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Hammer is forced to tap! Great finish!
