#R1##CL# Holden gets a clinch. Simonov gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Holden.
#TD2# Simonov successfully pulls guard.
Holden seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Holden being controlled here momentarily. Holden throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Simonov works some decent striking defense from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Simonov wants to sweep but no luck. Simonov is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVB# Simonov with the ground and pound but Holden uses the opportunity to regain guard. #T1# Holden wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Simonov trying to control but Holden is working from the bottom. Holden pulls Simonov in to control the position. #SUB# Holden had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Simonov defends it easily. Holden seems keen to control Simonov's posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#T2##SUB# Holden looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Holden could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.#SUB# Holden looking for a triangle here. Simonov is fighting it but it looks tight! Holden pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Simonov is tapping out - this one is all over!
