#R1# Mcfadden shoots in but doesn't get the takedown #CL2# and Dusek moves into the clinch. Dusek blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Mcfadden dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.#BC2# Dusek manages to break the clinch.
Dusek takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Mcfadden shoots in for a takedown but Dusek shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.#TD2# Dusek darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Mcfadden trying to control from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# Dusek is looking for a kimura but Mcfadden is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dusek to get the leverage. Mcfadden could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Dusek sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Mcfadden defending well though. Dusek keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.#T1# Nice strikes from Dusek there. Dusek seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Mcfadden strikes from the bottom but Dusek passes into mount!
Mcfadden is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Dusek is landing with some decent strikes but Mcfadden is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Dusek landing strikes, looking to finish! #SUB2# Dusek jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Mcfadden manages to avoid the submission attempt. Mcfadden is looking for a sweep.#T2##SU2# Dusek stands up. Dusek lands with a good body shot. Mcfadden throws a body punch but Dusek moves out of range. #TD2# Dusek shoots in and bounces Mcfadden off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dusek pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mcfadden is keeping the position for now. Mcfadden knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dusek on the ground. Mcfadden is trying to keep Dusek in close.
#T3# Dusek looking to sit in guard and control but Mcfadden gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. #REVR# Dusek throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
#SUB2# Dusek is looking for a triangle but Mcfadden pushes his legs off easily.
Dusek looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Dusek has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Dusek is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.#T4# Dusek is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Dusek is pulling down on Mcfadden's head. It's preventing any offense from Mcfadden, at least for the moment. Mcfadden has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Dusek looking for a sweep. Not yet Dusek, not yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ryan Dusek dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. #R2##TD2# Dusek changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mcfadden looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Mcfadden might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Dusek lands a nice forearm strike. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dusek is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Mcfadden will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Mcfadden trying his best to control but Dusek has mounted him.#SUB2# Dusek looking for a guillotine from mount but Mcfadden is having none of it. Dusek lands a couple of good shots and Mcfadden has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Dusek biding his time, looking for the opening.
Ryan Dusek has got the better of the ground game so far. Dusek not allowing Mcfadden to control his hands. #SUB2# Mcfadden defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#T1# Mcfadden just trying to survive but Dusek is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Dusek has been the more effective fighter overall so far. I would not like to be Mcfadden right now.
#SUB2# Dusek is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Mcfadden won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Dusek off his unconscious opponent!
