Kestenis lands with a short shot to the head. Kestenis stops a takedown attempt from Whitaker.
#BC2# Kestenis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kestenis shoots and misses and Whitaker counters with a nice uppercut. Kestenis takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Israel Whitaker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kestenis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. No luck with that takedown attempt from Whitaker. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Israel Whitaker. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD2# Kestenis shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kestenis was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.#T1# Kestenis scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Whitaker to see if he's OK. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Whitaker defending against the ground and pound. Kestenis landing a few strikes. Kestenis looks up at the clock and then as Whitaker takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Kestenis smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Whitaker takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kestenis has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kestenis can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Kestenis won't allow Whitaker to sweep him here. Kestenis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Whitaker swivels though and keeps the full guard. Whitaker looking to control.

That was a close second round but I would say that Israel Whitaker will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Barker jumps guard but Kestenis turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. #TD2# Kestenis jumps into guard, dragging Barker to the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Barker throws a big right hand that misses. Kestenis trying to strike off his back.
Kestenis has momentary wrist control but Barker slips an elbow through the middle. Barker might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Barker postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Barker has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kestenis working a defensive guard but Barker passes into half guard.

#TD2# York is fighting off a takedown attempt but Kestenis is just too persistent for him and manages to trip York to the mat. York regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Kestenis is fighting to break York's control of his arms but York is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. York trying to control the position.
York really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Psa moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Kestenis can't do much from the bottom here. Psa taking a breather here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Psa works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Psa just content to control the position. #T1# Kestenis can't do much from the bottom here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Psa taking a breather here. Psa connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Kestenis some visible discomfort.
