and Yonic counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Escobar not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Yonic stands up over Escobar, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Escobar can do anything to dispel that myth.

Escobar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Yonic. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bennett swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

and Bennett connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Bennett paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Bennett lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Luiz Escobar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Escobar takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Bennett displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Escobar throws out the jab.

Bennett unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Escobar! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Bennett is unloading with more strikes now! Escobar drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

A relieved looking John Bennett thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

Jahr fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Escobar to the ground. Jahr is now in Escobar's guard.
Escobar is looking to stand back up but Jahr counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Escobar. #REVB#
Escobar is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Jahr scores with a couple of nice shots.
We've been hearing good reports from Jahr's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Jahr seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Jahr looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Escobar with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Jahr is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
