We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Westermann has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.#KD# McBotterson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Westermann sprawling to the canvas! Westermann rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can McBotterson finish him?!

Westermann shoots in looking for a takedown but Volkov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Westermann's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Westermann takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.#KD2# Volkov drops Westermann with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Westermann looks back up at him and smiles so Volkov waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Oh and another big punch and a knee - Westermann can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Mihailov and Westermann drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Mihailov.

Sohlberg tests Westermann's chin there with a solid looking shot.#TD2# Westermann closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Sohlberg's guard. Sohlberg wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Sohlberg knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Westermann on the ground. Westermann throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sohlberg works some decent striking defense from the bottom. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Westermann working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Westermann tries to free his leg and advance position but Sohlberg is retaining full guard. Sohlberg on his back here. Westermann postures up in Jimenez's guard and throws a big left but Jimenez blocks it. Westermann is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. #SUB# Westermann is sitting in close to Jimenez's body. Jimenez has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Westermann is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Westermann is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Jimenez.
