Matthews uses the opportunity to regain full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Matthews seems keen to control Ammons's posture. Ammons landing with the ground and pound. #T1# Matthews is controlling Ammons's posture. Ammons not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. #T2# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Matthews controlling the position. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Matthews wants to stay close but Rogers steps back to make room for something. Matthews seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Rogers and Matthews drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!

He thinks about going to the ground but Matthews looks back up at him and smiles so Allen Schroeder waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Brown missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Matthews could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
