Rupert manages to get back to half guard.#SUB# Juarez seems to be working for a kimura but Rupert defends the submission attempt. Juarez tries to stand and escape but Rupert is controlling the position. Rupert keeps control of the position for the meantime. #SUB# Juarez is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rupert is just riding it out for now. Juarez eventually gives up the hold. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rupert manages to get to full guard.

Juarez wants to stand and escape but instead Rupert has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. #REVB# Rupert would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Rupert missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. #SUB# Juarez has his foot on Rupert's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rupert works his way back into a safe position though. Juarez looking to control but Rupert passes into half guard.

Rupert wants to control the pace but Juarez is squirming around nicely. Juarez bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Juarez being controlled here momentarily. Juarez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rupert on the ground. Juarez preventing the sweep. Rupert bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. It's a sloppy attempt though and Rupert jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Juarez is looking to stand up but Rupert isn't so interested in that idea. Rupert throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Juarez works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Rupert controls from within his opponent's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Juarez wants to improve his position but instead Rupert has moved into half guard.
#T4# The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Juarez is looking to control Rupert's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Juarez avoid being mounted? Rupert controlling the action here. God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!#TD2# Juarez gets caught flat footed, as Rupert shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Rupert tries to stand but Juarez is controlling from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Rupert dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! #R2# Rupert tries to clinch but Juarez moves out of range. Juarez looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Juarez defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rupert.#TD2# Rupert looking for a takedown here - he's got it.#ES# Juarez manages to escape and get back to his feet.

#T2# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Rupert pulls Juarez in close to prevent any damage. Juarez has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Rupert is proving hard to escape from. #REF3# The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.#TD2# Rupert closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Juarez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Juarez wants to get back to full guard. Juarez trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Rupert manages to pass to mount!
Juarez wants to hold on but Rupert pushes him away. Rupert landing strikes, looking to finish! Rupert controlling the pace for now. Juarez keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
#T3# Rupert avoids the attempt from Juarez to control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rupert pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Juarez tries to hold on but Rupert pushes him away. Rupert with a couple of short strikes. Rupert wants to control the pace but Juarez is squirming around nicely. Rupert lands a nice shot to the head. Rupert working Juarez over with strikes here. #ROC2# Juarez is rocked! Rupert lands a big elbow - Juarez is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Juarez is forced to tap out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). James Rupert! James Rupert decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
