Shibaraki tries to buck Garcia off but Garcia is having none of it. Garcia takes a little break here. Shibaraki wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Shibaraki tries to buck Garcia off but Garcia is having none of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Garcia is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Shibaraki is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Shibaraki tries to get back to half guard but can't. Shibaraki is trying to escape the position but Garcia is controlling the position. #T1# Garcia seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Shibaraki for as long as he can get away with. Garcia could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Tierro connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Tierro tries to bum rush Garcia with a series of wild strikes but Garcia uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Garcia avoids a punch combination nicely.
Garcia gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Garcia shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tierro sprawls well. Tierro wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Garcia gets slowly back to his feet. Tierro swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Tierro throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Garcia controlling from the top position. Cupido is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Garcia could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Garcia tries to counter with a takedown but Mayhem is quick to defend against it. Mayhem looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!#TD# Garcia changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mayhem looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Garcia could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Garcia content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Garcia tries to advance to mount but Mayhem denies him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A lull in the action here as Garcia stalls from top position.#T1# Mayhem prevents Garcia from moving into mount. You can see the frustration on Mayhem's face as Garcia controls the position. Mayhem can't do much from the bottom here. Mayhem takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
