Wakamatsu tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rahardian is in Wakamatsu's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wakamatsu wants to sweep but no luck. Rahardian lands a couple of decent looking shots. Wakamatsu tries to land a sweep but no joy. Rahardian is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Wakamatsu has a closed guard, preventing Rahardian from standing up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rahardian pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wakamatsu is keeping the position for now. #R1# Rahardian darts in trying to clinch#TD2# and Ast decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rahardian's guard.#SUB# Rahardian has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ast can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rahardian is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Ast stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rahardian swivels though and keeps the full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rahardian pulls Ast in close to prevent any damage. Ast tries to free his leg and advance position but Rahardian is retaining full guard. Ast is stalling in the full guard. #T1# Rahardian trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Ast trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. #SUB# Rahardian looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! #R1# No luck with that takedown attempt from Rakhmonov. #TD2# Rahardian feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Rahardian is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Rakhmonov is trying to control the position but Rahardian postures up. Rahardian with a nice head shot there. Rahardian trying to control but Rakhmonov is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rahardian throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rakhmonov works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Rahardian wants to control from the top but Rakhmonov keeps moving. #T1# Rahardian slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. Well Rahardian has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
