#R1##TD2# Goef closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Flores quickly recovers to half guard.#ES# Flores kicks off Goef and gets to his feet. Flores is looking to chop away at Goef's legs. No luck with that takedown attempt from Flores. #TD2# Goef scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Flores is doing well to control the position and prevent Goef from advancing to side control. Goef wants to pass to mount but Flores is defending the position. Goef is looking to stall here but Flores recovers full guard. #T1# Flores is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Goef throws an elbow that misses. Flores uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Goef's guard. Nice move by Flores!#REVR# Flores working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Goef's head. Goef is trying to keep Flores in close.
Flores distracts Goef with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.#T2# Flores stopping the sweep attempt from Goef. Flores keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Goef's head. Goef working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Flores. Flores landing some decent shots from guard. Goef is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Flores is controlling him. Flores really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Flores postures up and lands a big shot to Goef's brow. Goef really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Flores. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Flores works over Goef with some ground and pound from guard. Goef wants to sweep but no luck. #T3# Flores landing some decent shots from guard. Goef wants to get back to his feet but Flores is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Goef looks winded! Goef is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Flores postures up and lands a big shot to Goef's brow. #SU# Flores stands up from Goef's guard - Flores perhaps looking for a knockout. #CL# Flores rushes Goef and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.#T4# Flores blocks a body shot from Goef. Flores tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Goef avoids it. Goef throws a punch but it's blocked by Flores. #TD2# Goef turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Flores manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Goef trying to control from Flores's half guard. Flores has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Flores is pulling down on Goef's head to control his posture. Goef trying to control but Flores is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Edgar Flores dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! #R2##TD# Flores shoots in and bounces Goef off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Flores is standing up over Goef. Goef looks to escape but Flores dives into side control.
#REVB# Goef on the wrong end of some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Flores has hold of Goef's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Goef tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Flores cranks the arm and Goef screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Goef, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
