Medina closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Boomer's guard.
Medina pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Boomer is keeping the position for now.
Medina passes Boomer's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Medina tries to pass to full mount but Boomer defends it.
Boomer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Medina. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Medina passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Boomer!
Medina takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
