#R1# A head kick misses from Lewis . Lipski changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lewis tries to avoid it but Lipski manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lewis to the ground. Lewis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Lewis throws out a powerful jab.#CUT2# It looks like Gabriel Lipski has been cut. Nice sprawl there from Lewis as Lipski shoots in. Lipski avoids the head kick by Lewis .
Lipski fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gabriel Lipski. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lipski misses with a two punch combination.
Some wild striking there from Lewis .
#CL# Lipski darts in and clinches Lewis up against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lewis working aggressively here.

Lewis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lipski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#SUB# The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Lipski has a loose triangle. That was a close round but I would say that Gabriel Lipski will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Gabriel Lipski's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! #R2# Lewis throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

#R1# Ouelette is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lewis sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Lewis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ouelette should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Ouelette lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Lewis lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Lewis throws a head kick that misses. Ouelette shoots in for a takedown but Lewis shows good takedown defense. A head kick misses from Lewis . Ouelette unleashes a big counter combination but Lewis bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Ouelette moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.#CUT# It looks like Guillaume Ouelette has been cut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ouelette showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Lewis .

Derrick Lewis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lewis throws a sloppy head kick and Ouelette moves out of range easily. A head kick by Lewis misses and Lewis takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. #CL2# Ouelette clinches. #T2# This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!#TD2# Ouelette has picked Lewis up - he's going for a ride! Ouelette dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Ouelette looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lewis with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Ouelette slips a nice elbow through Lewis 's hands, connecting with Lewis 's forehead. Ouelette is taking a breather. Lewis says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.#SUB2# Ouelette seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Lewis is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Lewis connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. #CUT# It looks like French Vanilla has been cut.#CL2# Vanilla gets in close and instigates a clinch. #TD2# Vanilla pulls Lewis into guard.
#SUB2# Vanilla is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Lewis has his hands clasped together but Vanilla extends and breaks Lewis 's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Vanilla.

#R1# A punch combination from Lewis misses. Burnett throws a big counter combination but Lewis scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Lewis throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
#CUT2# It looks like Heriberto Burnett has been cut. A head kick misses from Lewis . Burnett seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Burnett fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Burnett shoots in for a double leg but Lewis sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Lewis .

Lewis takes a step backwards and waves Burnett back to his feet - he wants the finish!#ROC2# Burnett is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Lewis delivers a nice body kick. Oh Burnett is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Burnett is breathing heavily. Lewis ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Burnett's jaw. Burnett's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Lewis does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Derrick Lewis ! Derrick Lewis got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
