#R1# Dean thows a leg kick but Speights checks it #TD2# and Speights counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Speights. Speights controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Speights's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Speights missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. #T1# Speights looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Dean wants to stand and escape but Speights is having none of it. #REF3# The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Dean throws a body kick despite being completely out of range#TD2# and Speights decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dean's guard. Dean wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Speights manages to pass to side control. #REVR# Speights lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. #T2# Speights thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Speights is figuring out what he wants to do next. Dean wants to get back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Speights throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Speights has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.#T3# Speights wants to pass the guard but Dean is defending well. Still in half guard, Speights seems content to control. Dean has hold of Speights's hands but Speights slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Dean wants to get back to his feet.

He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Speights keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! It looks like Speights might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Big trouble for Dean! #ES# Dean bucks Speights off and manages to get back to his feet! Thomas Dean is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A head kick by Dean misses #TD2# and Speights counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Dean! Speights has been the more effective fighter overall so far. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Speights misses with the ground and pound. Dean takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

After a battle for position, Speights asserts his dominance and retains side control. Speights working the strikes but Dean uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.#SUB2# Speights maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Dean could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Speights has cracked it and Dean is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Speights!
