Kovacevic on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kovacevic tries to get out of the position.#SUB# Kovacevic actively working from the bottom here. Kovacevic is not content to let Carter control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kovacevic trying to control but Carter postures up.

#R1##TD2# Carter drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Carter just content to control the position. Jonsson bucks up and tries to throw Carter off but instead Carter has got his back!#SUB2# Carter working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Jonsson is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Carter has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Jonsson taps out!

#R1# Carter moves in looking to clinch but Whyte pushes him off. Whyte throws out a counter right but Carter avoids it with no problem. Carter has his takedown stuffed and Whyte connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.#CL# Carter gets in close and instigates a clinch. #BC# Carter breaks from the clinch.
Carter is looking to take this fight into the clinch.#CL# Carter rushes Whyte and presses him up against the cage. Carter with an attempt at a knee that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carter tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Carter tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Whyte just stands there and leans against the cage. Whyte gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Carter.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shane Carter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Carter with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
#T1# The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Whyte is pressed up against the cage. Carter has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Whyte down to the mat. Whyte avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Whyte scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Carter doesn't seem bothered though. The fight stays on the outside here - Carter looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Whyte dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Carter takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Whyte stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Whyte drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Carter right on the button. Carter goes down! Whyte follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Whyte gets the win via TKO!
