#R1##TD2# Mazza shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Mazza stalling. Savage is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Mazza jumps into side control! Mazza content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SU2# Mazza has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Savage swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

#TD2# and Mazza counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. #SUB2# Mazza drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mazza jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Mazza content to stall in guard here. Mazza lands a couple of digs. Savage knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mazza on the ground.#T2# Savage striking off his back but it's not causing Mazza any problems. Mazza stays in close to Savage 's body and controls the position. Mazza is in close to Savage 's body, working some short punches and elbows. Mazza passes Savage 's left leg - he's now in half guard. #SUB# Savage is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Mazza pulls his head out easily. Mazza is taking a breather. Savage says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Mazza passes to side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#T3# Savage takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
#SUB2# Mazza is trying to get an arm triangle but Savage is defending well. Mazza has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Savage ! The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Mazza cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
#SUB2# Mazza is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Savage is surviving well by controlling Mazza's body position as best he can. Savage is working to get back to half guard.
Mazza controlling the position easily from mount. #T4##SUB2# Mazza wants to finish this one by submission but Savage is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Mazza. #SU2# Mazza stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Some wild striking there from Savage .
Mazza wants to counter the offense by Savage and move into the clinch position. The fighters circling - Savage throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Mazza ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Savage misses with a hook

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!#REVR# Mazza lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. #ROC2# Savage is rocked! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ferhat Mazza dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! #R2# Jab by Savage . Oh Savage is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!#CL2# Mazza closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Savage has Mazza pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Mazza manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Mazza digs a right hand underneath Savage 's ribcage. Savage let out a lung full of air as it connected. Mazza displaying some good clinch control by pressing Savage up against the cage. Mazza has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Mazza lands with a left to the head. Savage misses with a hook to the ribs.
Mazza tries a knee to the head but Savage blocks it.

Mazza looks to land a right hand but Savage moved out of range.#CL2# Mazza closes the distance and pushes Savage back into the cage. Mazza stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Savage changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Mazza fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Tventy One Savage is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.#TD2# Mazza dives in and gets a big takedown. He lands in full mount and immediately unloads a series of heavy strikes! Savage has had enough and taps out.
