#R1##TD2# Pomff manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Arsenyev on his heels. He'll look to pass Arsenyev's guard now, I'm sure. Pomff wants to control from the top but Arsenyev keeps moving. Pomff looking to sit in guard and control but Arsenyev gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. #REVR# Arsenyev working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Arsenyev forces his way into half guard. Pomff missing with punches from the bottom.
Pomff is trying to stand up here but Arsenyev is controlling him well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pomff is not content to let Arsenyev control the position. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.#SU# Arsenyev decides to stand up. #T1# Pomff gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Arsenyev. Pomff lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Arsenyev circles away quickly and effectively.#CL# The fight moves into the clinch position. #BC# Arsenyev pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Arsenyev shoots in and drives through. Pomff sprawls well. Pomff chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Arsenyev can pounce on him.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pomff takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Arsenyev cracks Pomff with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Arsenyev closes the distance and clinches up with Pomff, looking for a takedown. Arsenyev pushes Pomff against the ropes but Pomff circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yuri Arsenyev. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Arsenyev tries to clinch but Pomff is having none of it. Pomff changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Arsenyev throws a head kick but Pomff moves out of range.

and Arsenyev counters with a nice uppercut. The crowd cheers as Pomff lands an impressive looking overhand right. Arsenyev doesn't seem phased though. Yuri Arsenyev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Arsenyev misses with a kick to the body.
The fight stays on the outside here - Arsenyev looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Arsenyev avoids a punch combination nicely.
Pomff tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Arsenyev swivels and escapes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Yuri Arsenyev will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Arsenyev has Pomff pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Pomff manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Pomff's coach down at Tycoon Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Pomff's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.#BC# Arsenyev manages to break the clinch.
#KD# Arsenyev lands a big head kick that sends Pomff tumbling to the mat! Arsenyev takes a step backwards and waves Pomff back to his feet - he wants the finish!#ROC# Pomff is rocked! Arsenyev changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pomff tries to avoid it but Arsenyev manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pomff to the ground. Pomff escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Pomff is still on wobbly legs! Can Arsenyev finish him? Arsenyev looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Arsenyev backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Pomff's temple! It sends Pomff violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Arsenyev celebrates and the doctors try to help Pomff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Yuri Arsenyev! Yuri Arsenyev spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.

Shae Ophof has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Yuri Arsenyev is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Ophof misses with a takedown attempt - Arsenyev sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
And that's the end of the fight! Yuri Arsenyev comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Arsenyev has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
